I have set out to create something very useful and meaningful with this venture.

My love of photography, or more precisely, my enjoyment of the act of photography itself got me thinking. After many years working in the fashion industry, I've had the ability to work with what many would consider to be finest sewn products available. I later left the industry because of what I felt to be massive waste by many in the constant treadmill of meaningless products. Live and learn.

Not to sound like a cliche`, but to truthfully and honestly adhere to the adage, "Form follows function", we create elegantly made and incredibly robust handmade camera cases, lens cases, straps, shoulder pads and wrist lanyards for digital and film Leica M system camera users. Items built to last.

All products are entirely hand sewn, no sewing machines are used whatsoever. We use only the time honoured skills found in saddlery. All products are made in our workshops in rural Dorset, England. But more importantly, our products are created to make the wonderfully individual and tactile experience of shooting a Leica streamlined, like the design of the cameras themselves.

Our products are made so that no matter what your shooting style may be, everything you might need is ready to use without removing you from the experience. The materials are the finest and most durable saddle hides, threads and fittings available, creating products that are of heirloom quality and integrity, worthy of such beautifully engineered cameras.

The "Uhl Collection" is named after my greatly missed grandfather, Dr. W. Uhl Sipe. In his spare time he was an amateur photographer amongst many other varied interests, and a great inspiration to me and my family. He was one of many in that greatest generation and was very intelligent, hard working, but most importantly, a very kind person. I have named this collection in honour of him and the values of this era.
